Spiced mascapone frosting

This is my go to frosting recipe: its rich, creamy and so decadent and full of flavour!

I usually use the Artisan Pumpkin Spice as the cake/ muffin/ cupcake it covers has loads of flavour and I don't want to overwhelm the balance of flavours, just add a subtle warmth.

You will need:

  • 1 250g tub of mascapone cheese

  • 1 cup of icing sugar. You can always add more but this is a good starting point.

  • 1 heaped teaspoon of Artisan Pumpkin Spice

  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch to stabilise, this is optional aswell but the frosting holds its shape really well with this addition without adding any taste.

Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix with an electric mixer until smooth!

Thus will cover approximately 12 cupcakes.
