Sweet Potato & Chorizo Pumpkin Spice Soup

This recipe is the perfect comfort food, especially if you need heated up on a cold winter's day.


  • Knob of butter

  • Garlic infused olive oil

  • Some chopped up garlic

  • Tablespoon of pumpkin spice

  • Frozen pre-chopped vegetables

  • Chorizo

  • Sweet Potato

  • Crusty bread (optional)


In a big saucepan heat up a knob of butter and some garlic infused olive oil. Next add some chopped up garlic, a tablespoon of pumpkin spice for the perfect amount of warmth, not firery heat. Then add soup vegetables. Sainsburys do frozen prechopped vegetables which is so handy. Fry those in the spice blend for a few minutes.

Next add some chopped chorizo and warm up so the oils are released. Add the sweet potato which has been cut up into chunks and make sure the mixture covers them.

Simmer for 40 minutes and serve with crusty bread.
